THE SIMON DIFFEY HERITAGE MOTORSPORT APPRENTICE AWARD
Driven by the Historic Sports Car Club
'Encouraging excellence through the power of opportunity'

The Award is an annual competition to continue, in perpetuity, a legacy of the late Simon Diffey’s ethos in recognising and encouraging the next generation of apprentice heritage automotive mechanical engineers and coachbuilders through an opportunity in motorsport.
The prize is awarded to a young individual who dreams of going motor racing and can demonstrate talent in engineering, passion, and enthusiasm, displaying an exceptional commitment as a team player during their apprenticeship.
The Award is an unincorporated association, neither a charity nor a business, and is built upon an abundance of goodwill within the motorsport fraternity.
It is enabled through the benefit of gifts, whether tangible or otherwise, by the Award Patron, Award Supporters, Secondment Partners and Mentors and donations from those who wish to support its aims.
"To have been selected as the inaugural winner of Diffey's award was an absolute honour. It has made a lifelong dream of mine a reality and provided a whole host of people, memories and skills that I'll cherish for life. I can't thank all those who made this award possible enough."
2022 Award Winner, EMILIA BROWN
